Sex education is also important for parents, teachers, the police and other institutions of authority so that the young generation of the country can be effectively shielded from various malpractices.

It is important that the young to be able to understand what sex is and how it determines their life. It is important that young children are taught the difference between good touch and bad touch at an early age. There should be proactive effort in imparting early sexual education in all sections of the society with special focus on the underdeveloped sectors. This is important because the poorer sections of the society are bereft of the benefits of early sexual education and this leads to social evils such as female infanticide and child marriages.
